PERSISTENCE

"Getting through difficulties."

At the D.R.S.S., one of our 5 Qualities is Persistence. The school defines Persistence as having the endurance and motivation to overcome countless challenges, and be undeterred by failure, remaining dedicated and enthusiastic, as well as having the discipline and resourcefulness to be dependable, and reliably complete the task-at-hand. At the D.R.S.S, we mostly use Persistence to overcome challenging issues, like difficult projects, or obstacles in projects. We hope our graduates use Persistence to have the mental and physical fortitude to overcome challenges, as well as to remain dedicated, enthusiastic and undeterred by failure.

Fencing

I believe fencing is a good symbol for Persistence because fencers have to get out of their comfort zone and face greater challenges over time in order to become a better fencer.
